Herbs for rejuvenating and smoothing the skin

Medicinal herbs that can rejuvenate the skin of the face

Medicinal herbs are present in many cosmetic products that can be bought in stores, but in this case they do not retain their beneficial properties for long. Because of this, purchased creams and masks become less effective after a while than they were at the time of purchase. Medicinal herbs for the skin of the face can also be used in their natural form, preparing decoctions, infusions and masks from them at home.

Dandelion

In cosmetology, dandelion has long been used for facial skin in antiaging procedures. The plant also helps with dermatological problems, with it you can get rid of freckles and whiten the skin of the face. The plant contains rubber substances, vitamins of groups A, B, C, E, PP, organic acids, resins, sterols and saponins.

The most effective cosmetic procedures for facial rejuvenation are those that use masks and cosmetic dandelion ice.

  1. Anti-aging mask. To prepare this mask, you need to take 5 ml of dandelion juice, 1 avocado, and 5 grams of starch. Mash the avocado and then mix all the ingredients. Apply the resulting mass to a previously steamed face, leave for 30 minutes, and then rinse with cold water. The mask can be applied to the face 2 times a week. After several uses, deep and small wrinkles on the skin are noticeably smoothed, and the texture of the face becomes more elastic.
  2. Cosmetic ice. To prepare this product, you need: 10-15 ml of dandelion juice, 50 ml of distilled water, 5 ml of hazelnut oil. All ingredients need to be mixed, poured into molds and put in the freezer. It is necessary to wipe the face with the prepared cubes, it is recommended to do this in the evening, and the skin of the face should first be cleaned of makeup. The procedure must be performed in sessions of 10 days, and the course of treatment must not be longer than 3 times a year.

Rosemary

Rosemary can easily replace any skin lifting agent, as it contains the protein HSP70, which can slow down the aging process at the cellular level. In addition, the plant contains tannins, fatty acids, vitamins and trace elements that can heal and rejuvenate the skin.

Rosemary is most often used in the form of essential oil, which can be purchased in most beauty shops and pharmacies. To prepare cosmetics at home, you will have to grow the plant yourself, because in its natural form it very rarely ends up on the shelves of stores and pharmacies.

  1. A rejuvenating mask. To prepare the mask, you need to mash half a banana, then add 50 ml of avocado oil and an infusion or decoction of rosemary. The amount of decoction or infusion must be calculated, taking into account that the finished mask should have a consistency similar to thick sour cream. The product can be applied to the face 2-3 times a week, after which the skin becomes more elastic and wrinkles are smoothed out.
  2. Decoction. To prepare the decoction, you need to take 20 grams of dry rosemary leaves, pour over 200 ml of boiling water and place in a water bath for 15-20 minutes. The finished decoction must be strained before use. Take 50 ml 2 times a day.
  3. Infusion. The product is prepared from 50 grams of plant leaves, which should be poured with a glass of boiling water and infused for 3-4 hours, it is recommended to do this in a thermos or wrap the container with the infusion in something warm. After the prescribed period, the infusion must be filtered.

Important!Rosemary decoctions and infusions can also be used in the form of poultices or cosmetic ice.

Chamomile

Chamomile contains many vitamins, trace elements and organic acids that are valuable for the body. All this together helps to rejuvenate, hydrate and whiten the skin, making it firmer and more elastic. In cosmetology, the most effective results can be achieved using chamomile decoctions and infusions.

  1. Decoction. To prepare the product, pour dried chamomile flowers - 25 grams with a glass of warm boiled water and put in a water bath for half an hour. The finished soup should be filtered and, if necessary, diluted with boiled water. The product should be wiped over the face and décolletage area. After use, wrinkles on the face are noticeably reduced and smoothed.
  2. Infusion. To prepare a chamomile infusion, pour one tablespoon of the dried and crushed herb with a glass of boiling water and leave for half an hour. It is necessary to filter the finished product and, as in the previous recipe, wipe the skin of the face.

Sagas

Using sage for cosmetic purposes will help you to clean the skin of your face and preserve youth for a long time. The plant contains anti-aging, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic substances, which is why sage is so widely used in cosmetology.

  1. Infusion for the face. Ready infusion of sage can be used as an addition to lotion or tonic, and it can also be used in the form of compresses and lotions for the face. To prepare an infusion of sage, you need to pour 3 tablespoons of dry raw materials with a glass of boiling water and leave it in a thermos for 2 hours. Cool the resulting infusion, strain, refrigerate and use as needed. You can make cosmetic cubes from this infusion - pour them into molds and put them in the freezer, and use them to wipe your face in the morning and in the evening.
  2. Decoction. Sage decoction has an effective effect on facial skin, rejuvenating and toning it. To prepare, pour boiling water over three tablespoons of sage and cook on low heat for another 15 minutes. The resulting product should be cooled, filtered and washed with it once a day.
